Poem: Wonderings

Will the world ever change
Will it see the light of day again?
Will a new hope come
That doesn’t change its mind?
Or will the world see darkness evermore
As humanity fails to learn
The lessons of the past?
Will humankind unlock their hearts
And leave them open for all to see?
Only time will tell yet ye
Must not wait for those
Days to come
Only through action and sacrifice
Through turmoil and exploration
Will God appear on Earth once more
Through the hearts of His creation
And peace shall come
Oh! peace will come
To be maintained by brave and infantile
Let hope and love guide the way
