Lessons of the Scar on My Wrist:

Don’t lose sight of the big picture or suffer great injury you will

Lessons of Skiing:

As long as you are balanced nothing can stop you
You don’t have control over whether you go or not, but you do have control over where you go and when you stop
Always strive for a challenge

Lessons of Swimming:

Though a thing may be difficult you can, to a large extent, overcome your limitations
You can use the environment to buoy yourself

Lessons of Curling:

The big picture is key to victory
Knowing your friends and your opponents can lead to great reward
Listen to your gut

Lessons of Driving:

Sometimes defeat is necessary to come back stronger

Lessons of Water Skiing

Sometimes you have to trust others to lead you safely through treacherous waters

Lessons of Running:

Endurance is key to winning the race of life

  1. Is this supposed to be lessons that these things actually teach with no outside support? Or is it lessons that you have thought of or learned in a different context and then imposed on a situation to which it is somewhat relevant?
