A Great Relief

I just got the news today that because my bloodwork reflected elevated liver function I get to stop taking Acutane. Words cannot express how happy this makes me. To no longer have to put chap stick on several times a day, to go to the washroom at a normal rate (okay, still higher than average because of GAD, but normal for me), and of course, the high hopes that my current depression and fatigue will disappear as they are also possible side-effects of the Acutane. Of course, there’s a chance my acne will come back, and a bad odor Mom has noticed around me for the past two or three years (of course, no one else has complained so I’m not sure it’s such a big deal) but I’ll gladly accept the return of those symptoms if it means I’m not depressed and fatigued any longer. Of course, the unhappy alternative is that the depression and fatigue is caused by my living environment but one problem at a time, I’d say.
