Book Review: Burnout by Emily and Amelia Nagoski

I recently read Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle by Emily and Amelia Nagoski. I highly recommend giving this one a read! These identical twin sisters make a potent authorial team. They present the science of the stress cycle in an accessible manner, highlight the importance of the body in completing the stress process, present some barriers to doing so, and present strategies, exercises, and ways to continue the work upon completion of the book. The Nagoski sisters include some anecdotes from their personal life, and share with vulnerability and openness.

This is a book that will especially help women but will also help anyone who struggles to manage the stress in their lives. It is also an excellent complement to Emily Nagoski’s other book, Come As You Are: The Surprising New Science That Will Transform Your Sex Life.
