Poem: Rallying Myself

I have been beaten
I have been battered
I have been bruised
I have not given up
I have not been conquered
I have not been defeated
Though the world turns colder
Though the obstacles pile high
Though my vision becomes clouded
I struggle on
Following my feelings
Doing what I must
Knowing that the state
I find myself in today
Will not determine
Who I am
What I do
Tomorrow
