About Me

Devin Hogg (he/him)

I am a tai chi (taijiquan) practitioner, writer, and Master of Theological Studies.

Tai Chi/Taijiquan

I began studying Taoist Tai Chi, a variant of Yang style taijiquan, in 2004. My initial focus was to improve my health, both physical and mental. In 2015, I switched my focus to the Chen style so that I could practice a more comprehensive, traditional curriculum which included martial applications. I began teaching taijiquan workshops to faith communities in 2025 and I hope to continue expanding my role as a taijiquan instructor.

Writer/M.Ts.

I have been writing prose and poetry, made publicly available via Dreamer’s Blog, since 2008. My writing draws on my personal experience and my education, including a Bachelor of Arts (University of Guelph) and a Master of Theological Studies (University of Waterloo and Conrad Grebel University College). My writing generally explores themes of intersectionality and embodiment using the twin lenses of Christian theology and my taijiquan practice.
