Poem: Chosen

I marked you
When you were young
My servant to become
I guided you
When you had no faith
To the light you yearned for
Then came a time
When a sword stood in stone
Your destiny inert
Your choice to make
And you swore yourself to me
Declared your allegiance to the light
I heard your oath
And witnessed it
As you took the sword
Held it high
Committed to the fight
To serve the light
