Internal pressure
Rises up
Boils up
Push
There goes the fuse
The gates are unlocked
The forces unleashed
Shove
The heart is revealed
Old hurts released
Silence
The fallout has occurred
Bonds stretched to breaking
A mix of shame and triumph
Shame for the initial loss
Triumph for standing firm
And as distance grows
It is the triumph that will remain
My name is Devin Hogg. I was born and raised in Carnarvon, Ontario, Canada. I moved to Guelph, Ontario, Canada in 2009 for university and lived here ever since.
