Poem: Listen To Your Heart

Sitting on a bench
Head in my hands
I cry out to God
“Why have you forsaken me
Let me down
In time of most need?”
And God answers me
“Child, I am here
You are lost
Looking for something
You cannot find
Listen to your heart”
Now years later
I say to the lost souls
Who cry out in the night
“We’re all looking for something
Searching blind and deaf
I tell you now
You can always find what you seek
In your heart
Listen to your heart”
