Poem: One Small Light

The darkness surrounded me
The dark tide
Beating against my shore
Only a small light remained
I lost my will to live
Yet I hung on
For that small light
Was hope and love
And a little voice
Would not let go
Not let me end it all
My pain and suffering
The Anxiety and the Darkness
So I struggled on
Despite it all
And over time
That one small light
Grew larger and brighter
Now it outshines the Darkness
And I have learned
It will never go all the way out
And that gives me the strength
To go on in peace
