When you look at me
I don’t want you to see
My grades and achievement
My posturing and teasing
My unflattering body
That is unlikely to be loved
When you look at me
I want you to see
The truth of my heart
The depths of my soul
My innermost essence
That is destined to be loved
For you see that inside me
Reveals who I truly am
