Poem: What You See In Me

What you see in me
I really don’t know
I’m nothing special
Just a regular fellow
A nerd and a poet
A dreamer and a writer
That is all I am
Not even a man
I want to go
I want to grow
But I know that I am
Not likely to succeed

What you see in me
I really don’t know
But I’ll hazard a guess
If you don’t mind
Perhaps what you see
Is the Truth of me
The depth of my soul
The passion in my heart
The strength of my will
The edge of my mind
Perhaps that is why
You are my lover
