Poem: Friendly Advice

You have been harmed
You have been scarred
You’ve felt the cold and bitter rain
Now you are facing the darkness
The shadow within
That reflects and causes the darkness with out
Over miles of distance
From beyond the stretch of time
I say to you
You must be strong
You must not give up hope
Remember that love is the answer to darkness
I speak not of romantic love
Though it is an antidote too
But of the love that one must hold
For every being on this green Earth
Patience young one
Your day will come
And on that day
Your light will show
The true measure of your self
