Poem: Hold Onto Hope

Beloved
You look around
At the world.
You see the conflict
The suffering
The pain.
You try to help
To fight.
It all seems so big
Immutable
Impossible to change.
You feel powerless
To save the ones
That you love.
The vulnerable.
The oppressed.
You ask yourself
How do you win
Against the powerful?
The wealthy?
The strong?
Beloved
Do not give into despair.
The world turns
Times change.
A revolution is coming.
Love always wins.
God favours life.
The Spirit empowers
The vulnerable.
The oppressed.
Beloved
Hold onto hope.
Therein lies
Resilient faith.
