Written for Non-Violent Ethics from Black Feminist and Womanist Perspectives. Thesis: Spiritual embodiment provides a resource for responding to violence between human bodies and other human bodies, between human bodies and the rest of the world, and within individual human bodies.
Radical Embodiment: Creating Safe Churches
Written for Abuse in the Church. Thesis: churches and faith communities can become safe/healthy spaces by becoming affirming and cultivating physical and sexual literacy.
The Word Made Flesh: On Bodies, Wisdom, Love, and Community: A Poetry Anthology
Written for Preaching. Objective: 4 poems, seeking to provide an answer to the question “What is the gospel” by focusing on four themes that have been a source of good news in my faith journey: embodiment, wisdom, love, and community. One poem is devoted to each of the four themes. Sections of prose follow each poem outlining some of the sources of inspiration and context underlying each poem.
We Cry Out For Justice: An Annotated Poetry Anthology Inspired by the Book of the Twelve
Written for Minor Prophets. Objective: 12 poems, one for each of the prophetic texts found in the Book of the Twelve, aiming to capture something of the overarching/underlying themes of each of the texts. Section of prose follows each poem outlining some of the research and inspiration that went into the creation of each poem.
