Poem: Admiration From Afar

I sit and I watch
Feeling the constant tattoo of my passions
Beat against my chest

It is thunder, rolling across the plains
It is fire, surging forth
All enveloping, all consuming
Madness

Yet I do nothing
I lack the courage
Though I posses will a plenty

I am the baby bird
Too scared to take the leap
Afraid that I will fail
And plummet to death

So I sit and watch
Admiration from afar
Unrequited love

Yet the belief remains
One day I will act
When I do
Angels will sing
