Poem: The Forsaken

There exists two
Very different worlds
On this one Earth
The world of comfort
Plenty and riches
Where everyone
Has
What they need
Then there is
The world of discomfort
Lack and poverty
Where everyone
Has not
What they need
This is the world of the forsaken
Where hope has long been
Hope against hope
A world
Where injustice festers
And a superhero
Is badly needed
Oh! If only Superman
Would see the plight
Of those in
The world of the forsaken
Swoop down and help those
Who did not dig
Their own hole
We are the superhumans
We can make a difference.
