Poem: Contemplative Distance

Sitting here now
A lassitude like molasses
Spreads throughout my body
The shell that preserves my soul
I am relaxed, energized
As I am not so often
I am at peace with the world
And with my place in it
It strikes me
That that is the only way
One can live life to the fullest
You can only learn the meaning of life
When you realize there is no meaning
And accept it
Without resentment, anger, fear
That is one of the answers
