Poem: True Love

True love is not selfish
It is not a competition
A battle for favors
Where all battles all
True love does not smother
Choke and stifle
With constant attention
True love is selfless
It is about being there when needed
Stepping back when required
Yet remaining ready to answer the call
It is about trust
That everything will turn out
As it was meant to be
True love is about honesty and faith
True love is hard
It is the love I choose
