Poem: Four Year Later

Four years spent
Down a winding road
I have been bent
I have been broken
I have been re-forged
I have been renewed
Forever changed
My darkness I have faced
Forever sworn
To serve the Lord of light
Bonds forged
Bonds broken
Friends gained
Friends lost
A community I’ve come to love
Must now be split
To those from whom I parted
I say simply, Godspeed
For all the rest
I say with delight
Alleluia! We stay together!
Four years
So short
So long
Down a winding road
I’ve traveled long
Down a winding road
I wander on
