Note: This is the third in a series of poems I’ve written for a variety of fandom over the years. This collection deals with the Pokemon series, specifically a plotline I had in my imaginary games at the time of writing.
Starting the Journey
I have a new friend
I have some new gear
I am ready now
To start my journey
Though it may take me far
Away from home
I know
I will succeed
Facing the Master Test
I’ve come so far
I’ve faced so much
And now I face
My master test
Will I succeed
Will I fail
One thing I know
My heart will be true
Second Journey
I’m traveling
To a new land
Going on
A new adventure
I passed
The master test
Time to prove
Myself again
Walking Away
I’ve seen too much
Faced too much
I need a rest
I need a break
To recover from
These past dark days
Call To Adventure
The years have passed
And I have come to see
That all is not
As I once thought
The world to be
Now I receive
A call for help
And I cannot
Refuse my destiny
Accepting Responsibility
She impresses me
And yet I see
There is much
She has to learn
Can I accept
The responsibility
Of teaching her
The way to reach
Her destiny
Interim
As the days wear on
I see that I
Have much to learn
As I teach her
She teaches me
And together we face
Our destiny
Time of Trial
My heart is full
Of turbulent emotions
She has come so far
Faced so much
And now she faces
The master test
I cannot
Intercede
I must let go
I must stand by
As she achieves
Her destiny
Facing the Mirror
It’s time to prove

The Crucial Trial

Full of hope
Full of love
