Poem: Let Me Rest

Why won’t you let me go
Let me rest
Let me sink into the deep
I weary of this world
Though I am a tender age
I tire of pain and loss
Of failure to be who I know I can be
Please turn the tables
Deal a new hand
There is only so much I can do
With the cards I’ve been dealt
I think I’ve reached my limit
Help me out or take my life
But for my sake
Please choose quickly
All I want is peace
