Poem: Days Of Loneliness

My heart aches
Loneliness fills my days.
Mentors fall
Walk paths of destruction.
Friends struggle
Friends drift away.
Family remains broken
Kept apart
By years of stubborn pride.
Everything shifts
Nowhere feels like home.
Romantic desires
Remain unfulfilled
Unexpressed.
Only the Goddess
Remains always with me
Insufficient comfort
For my human soul.
I offer up my pain
Pray for strength
To be found.
Choose to hope
Despite all reason.
Choose love
Though darkness seems
Ever stronger.
Loneliness fills my days
But I walk on.
