Poem: At A Loss

I have been
At a loss
For words of late.
Poetry deserts me;
All I can do
Is groan incoherently.
How to capture
The events of these days?
How to express
The rollercoaster of highs and lows?
Yet the attempt
Must be made.
Witness must be borne.
So I pickup my pen and paper
Take a breathe
And write.
Trust the Spirit
To translate groans
To good enough words.
