Poem: More Alone

I am walking
A lonely road.
Feeling
More alone
Than ever before.
Yes
I have my friends
My family
People who love me
Who I love.
Yet I am drowning
In a dark tide
Crushed by loneliness.
I have
No person
To turn to.
God’s comfort
Seems slim.
I long
For someone
To hold at night.
Someone
To remind me
Why life
Is worth the living.
Don’t worry
I will
Keep on walking
For I have hope.
Hope will lead me
To greater faith
To the love
I long for.
