Poem: Hopeless Wandering

When I am lost
In the dark.
No sky to see
No light to guide.
Trapped
With my demons
In a lonely wood.
What hope is there
To be found?
How can I find
My way through
To meadows of peace
I know exist?
In those times
Of hopeless wandering
When all paths seem closed.
When all efforts
Seem in vain.
I look to my core
To my feelings
How the Spirit guides me
How I know the Lord.
I know
My feelings
Will guide me
To the light.
Through the darkness
Through the seasons
Each to their purpose.
