Poem: Farther Away

I have been waiting
And longing
And yearning
For love
For romance.
I have tried
To keep an open heart
To love without
The need for return.
I have let go
Time and again
Out of love.
These choices
Have been right and good.
Yet now
Love seems father away
Than e’er before.
“Oh Lord,
How much longer
Must I wait?
How much more
Must I sacrifice?
Please Goddess
Help me find love
So that I can be
Reminded of
Light and hope
Goodness and peace.”
