Each day there comes a time
When feelings begin to surge
Walls of control begin to slip
Cracks begin to form.
I know then
I have very little time
To find a place outside
To stretch my legs
And move my body
Let the feelings flow.
As fresh air fills my lungs
As wind blows on my face
The tears begin to flow.
I take solace in the fact
That no one sees me so distraught
Nor can truly know
The pain I carry inside my heart.
I continue walking on
Until the tears have run their course
Fatigue has numbed the feelings in my heart.
I know that nothing yet is fixed
But this is all I’ve got to cope
Until the seasons change
And the time to embrace and love
Finally has come.
