Poem: Back To Basics

I know you are weary, child.
I know you are overwhelmed.
Your heart is aching
Your guts are clenched.
Tears prick at your eyes
And throat is tight.
You are lonely
Oh so lonely.
Despair and grief are close at hand
Hope is hard to choose.
Breathe.
Then breathe again.
Come back to your center.
Focus on the basics
Foundations tried and true.
Before you know it
Balance will be restored.
