Poem: When You Yearn To Die

When you feel
The darkness closing in
Causing you
To yearn to die:
Take a breath
And another;
Think of people you love.
Yes
You may feel
You do them
More harm than good
But the fact you care
Is no small thing.
Remember always
Breath equals hope
A dead man has none.
Know that things can change
When all seems lost.
Find a reason to hold on
And another.
Keep fighting
For each next moment
And know
That though you feel
All alone
You most assuredly
Are not.
